About The CVB

Welcome to the Top of West Virginia

Located in the thin sliver of West Virginia between Pennsylvania and Ohio, Brooke and Hancock Counties have an abundant history of arts, culture, and manufacturing. The steel, glass, and pottery industries allowed small towns to develop on the banks of the Ohio River, attracting immigrants from Italy, Greece, Serbia, and other European countries. Now, the traditions from home are embedded in our welcoming community’s cuisine, festivals, and attractions.

From exploring the bike trails and state park to taking a selfie with the World’s Largest Teapot, gaming at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort to touring the Fiesta Tableware Company, and uncovering history at the Weirton Area Museum to savoring a candied apple at the Wellsburg Applefest, Brooke and Hancock Counties offer new encounters at every opportunity. Come experience the Top of West Virginia firsthand.
