Before you Eat a Traditional Burger, Check out B4
In addition to bourbon and brews in the basement, B4 offers out of the box burgers
It’s easy to find a traditional burger at most restaurants, but one of Weirton’s newest restaurants is here to bring a spin on one of America’s most beloved foods.
To enter the restaurant, you will go through the basement door, giving you a fun prohibition era vibe. Inside you will see a large space for dining and a huge bar with one of the area’s best selections of beer and bourbon, both also their specialties. If you take a closer look, you will find a secret back room that can be rented out for small gatherings. During our dinner, the Weirton and Surrounding Area Plant and Garden Friends group was hosting a plant swap! Each person brought different house plants that they could trade with others. What a fun and unique way to bring people together, while enjoying burgers with a twist!
One of our favorite burgers with a twist was the Turkey Burger. Topped with cranberry mayonnaise and stuffing on a brioche bun, it’s sure to take you back to Thanksgiving Day at grandma’s house with every bite! The Shrimp Burger is like nothing we’ve ever seen on a burger menu! With a chopped shrimp patty, creole mayo, shredded lettuce, and an old bay bun, it’ll send your taste buds straight to the bayou. Last, but certainly not least, we tried the Gyro Burger, which consisted of lamb, tzatziki sauce, tomato, onion, and cucumber on a brioche bun. We are ready for our trip to Greece with that one! Next time we look forward to trying the Oktoberfest Burger, Quesadilla Burger, and Pimento Cheeseburger.
Outside of creative burgers and a fun atmosphere, you will notice B4 is also passionate about helping good causes. Often you will see buckets by the door. If you put your receipt in the bucket, 10% of your meal will go to a different cause.
B4 also offers live music nights, a jukebox, dart board, and a local favorite; Euchre Night. Every other Wednesday the Euchre Club meets at B4 at 7:00 p.m. Players of all skill levels join in for a night of food, fun, and friendly competition.
With B4 being in the basement, I’m sure you’re wondering “what’s upstairs?” Wonder no longer! Upstairs is T. Kosciusko Hall, home of Giometti Catering. This space can be rented for large events, weddings, and gatherings. Coming up on March 11th, is Hancock County Parks and Recreation’s ‘Night on the Titanic’ event at which they will have a murder mystery show, an authentic ship menu, cash bar, music, food, photo booth, raffles, and a “real party” in the bilge. With creative food choices at its heart, B4 is a great choice for lunch or dinner in Weirton.
