Featured Artist: Gina Judy
Gina T. Judy, a retired permanently certified Ohio Art Educator, holds an MA from Ohio University (Athens, OH) and BA from Bethany College (WV) in Art Education. She is a former Region East OAEA Outstanding Art Educator, former Wintersville Citizen of the Year for her mural-work with students, and serves on many boards. Since late 2014 she has exhibited in about 20 states, both in-person and online. Gina holds eight watercolor Signature Memberships and is an associate-member of various similar societies around the country. She is currently a displaying member of the Top of WV Arts Council.
“My favorite (Top of WV Arts Council) memories were two exhibits Weirton: The City Forged by Steel, and the Hancock-Brooke County Churches exhibit,” recalled Gina. “I was the gallery hanger for the steel mill exhibit and I designed the program book, which was used as a fundraiser for the show.”
This past year, Gina is very proud of having been selected for the following national shows: 2021 121st Philadelphia Int’l Works on Paper, Travel-show of Watercolor Ohio, and the 2020 Travel-show of South Carolina. Recently she was very excited to have been accepted into the 2022 Annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors to be held in New York State at THE VIEW. Gina was also awarded second place in the Spokane 2021 Juried Member Show.
