Savannah Schroll Guz is a mixed-media artist and the volunteer executive director at the Weirton Area Museum & Cultural Center. Her work is in private collections from NYC to San Diego, and her illustrations have appeared in numerous literary journals, including American University’s “Folio” and Youngstown State University’s “Jenny Magazine” among many others. In 2019, she was awarded an artist residency at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, where she created a full-sized radium girl sculpture from glass and other materials.

In 2020, Savannah represented the state of West Virginia as one of 36 artists selected to create a stripe for Her Flag (www.herflag.com), a collaborative project with Oklahoma-based artist Marilyn Artus that celebrated the centenary of the 19th Amendment. Savannah’s stripe design was sewn onto the 18′ x 26′ flag on June 26, 2020, in Charleston, West Virginia, and subsequently appeared as part of the flag on the facades of the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, AR, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.

Savannah lives on a family farm with her husband and frequent collaborator Michael and their two dogs, Otto and Miss Pepper. Learn more about Savannah at www.savannahschrollguz.com.
