American Defenders of Bataan & Corregidor – ADBC Museum WWII

The American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor (ADBC) chose the Brooke County Library to be their official depository. The museum houses books, documents, and artifacts of this special group that defended their country as America entered World War II.

 

Drover’s Inn & Tavern

1001 Washington Pike, Wellsburg, WV 26070

Built in 1848, by John Fowler, The Drover’s Inn required three years for skilled craftsmen to construct the three story, sixteen-room edifice. The Dining Room once housed a general store and the Fowlerstown Post Office. In the early 1850s Mr. Fowler opened the Inn to travelers and drovers, moving their stock across the toll pike.

 

Alexander Campbell Mansion

7265 Bethany Pike, Bethany, WV 26032

The Campbell Mansion, home to Bethany College founder Alexander Campbell, was built between 1795 and 1840. The house now welcomes visitors to see the historic grounds.
