Basil’s Sports Bar and Grill is up to bat!

Basil’s Sports Bar and Grill is up to bat!

If you haven’t been to Basil’s yet, this local favorite should be on deck for your next meal out.

With two main areas for dining (the main side and the Dugout) this all-American restaurant has plenty of seating, but don’t be late to the “game” because the “stadium” fills up fast! It is such a local favorite, owner Pete Basil recently added a third section, the Bullpen, for guests to be able to hang out, have a drink, and play darts while they wait for a table to open.

With the garage doors open, sports on the televisions, and “no nonsense” staff, you’re sure to feel right at home hanging out with all your best friends. And just like friends do, they might try to pick you off if you’re too far off base! A regular at Basil’s, Chris Gale considers “At Basil’s, having a beer and a pretzel with baseball on the tv is better than being at the game itself.” It’s no wonder they won first place in the atmosphere category for the local “Best of the Best” competition. But don’t forget, it’s three strikes and you’re out with this fun and frank crew.

One of our favorite apps from Basil's is the pretzel. Basil's is known for their wide selection of beer and whiskey.

Speaking of franks, Basil’s has the absolute best hotdogs around! These 100% beef quarter pound dogs are cooked to perfection and piled high with some of the most unique toppings. From Plane Jane to mango barbeque pulled pork to Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, you are sure to find something you’ll love and something you’ve never tried before. By sampling one of these hotdogs, you’ll be doing yourself and a local student a favor. 50% of all hotdog sales go to Basil’s scholarship program. All around, Basil’s hot dogs are a home run!

Not only are the hotdogs unique, but so are the wing flavors! With everything under the sun from Hot Honey BBQ Salted Caramel to Chicken and Waffle, you won’t want to skip out on these award-winning wings. But if you can only choose one flavor, the peanut butter hot is a grand slam! This flavor combo might sound odd, but it is a fan favorite and arguably the most unique wing sauce in the Ohio Valley. With the initial taste of a signature buffalo followed by a subtle kick of Thai peanut, if you try these wings once you’ll definitely be back for more. This restaurant knows how to fry a wing – juicy, crispy, and flavorful.

The bases are loaded at Basils: hot dogs, wings, and the best craft beer selection in the valley. You’re up to bat!

Basil's fully loaded nachos are the perfect sharable snack.
